Joy News January, 2026
Dear Pastors & Praying Friends,
We trust this letter finds you well and encouraged in the Lord. As missionaries, there are seasons when God calls us to step forward in faith in very tangible ways. This is one of those seasons for our family.
As we continue to follow God’s leading, He has asked us not only to trust Him for the funds needed for the JOY Life Center, but also to step forward in obedience as we transition to Reach Missions. This decision was not made lightly. It has been surrounded by much prayer, fasting, and godly counsel, and we are grateful for the many of you who have already encouraged and supported us through this step of faith.
If I have not yet had the opportunity to speak with you personally, please know that I am still working to connect with many by phone. You are also welcome to reach out to us directly at 478-298-3497.
In our last letter, we shared about our move to Reach Missions and how gracious God has been throughout this transition. We have also received several invitations to come and meet with churches and supporters. After much prayer, we have decided to use this time to both raise new support and visit any of our current supporting churches that would like us to come. We are available for church services, missions conferences, small groups, or even one-on-one meetings.
Initially, I was scheduled to return to Botswana in March. However, after prayerful discussion with the team, we believe my time is best used here for now—visiting churches and raising the necessary support for the Life Center. Meanwhile, the work in Botswana continues to move forward. Our national pastors are faithfully serving, planting, and leading new groups across the country while maintaining existing works. We are rejoicing to see souls saved and lives changed through those who have committed themselves to living the Gospel and loving every life.
We continue to pray faithfully that God will supply what is needed for the JOY Life Center. This property was pursued only after extended prayer and fasting, and it remains a significant step of faith. The original need was $400,000, and through God’s provision and your generosity, that need has now been reduced to $350,000.
At this time, we are specifically praying to raise $20,000 by February. This is a great need, but we serve a great God, and we are trusting Him to provide. We humbly ask you to pray with us for these funds and, if the Lord leads, to consider giving toward this work.
