About J.O.Y. Missions.
We are an independent, local church, ministry. We are primarily reaching the Deaf peoples in the country of Ethiopia and Botswana with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through many different ministries. To learn more about our ministry please visit our about page.
Our vision is simple, we use the J.O.Y. method:
J - It’s all about Jesus and remaining focussed on Him, His unfinished work, and the command HE gave us to reach the lost, disciple them, and teach them to teach others.
O - Everything we do is geared towards others, and assisting them in their personal, physical, and spiritual needs to bring them into a closer relationship with Jesus, as a faithful disciple to Him.
Y - This is also about you. Giving you (our sponsors) the ability to assist God in His work by sending us on your behalf to places and people who need the Gospel.
How we raise support:
Our mission is supported through donations of fellow believers, and churches we visit. These funds are given through our missions partner Baptist International Outreach. any fundraising links other than our merchandise shop will be linked to the donation page of Baptist International Outreach and online donations will be sent via PayPal.
Baptist International Outreach is a registered 501(c3) organization and all donations received through them is tax deductible. To learn more about Baptist International Outreach you can go to their website biomissions.org.
We are also funding our C.A.R.E. ministries through donations raised through our vlog and items purchased through our merchandise shop.
Place of J.O.Y. Ministries in Botswana
The first Deaf Bible Baptist church lead by Pastor Emelang Moikothia is a Deaf church with a Deaf pastor. Over the years God has blessed this church and we are now ready to start reaching out. It is our goal to establish a place of J.O.Y. for the purposes of church planting and disciple making all over the country of Botswana. We have a big goal; we also have a big God who can work through His faithful to accomplish this goal.

Church@VICKtory
This is a Testimony of God doing the impossible. So many times we shared our vision that through our partnership with VICKtory School for the Deaf would open up the opportunity to have a church for the Deaf right on the campus of VICKtory School, and it would be stated that this was seen as an impossibility.
In 2022 we saw God do the impossible and a Deaf pastor was called and sent and is now faithfully planting a church on the grounds of VICKtory School for the Deaf in Addis Ababa Ethiopia. C.A.R.E.
Our C.A.R.E. ministries has taken on many shapes over the last years. Being birthed by the fact that we arrived in Ethiopia the same time as the COVID Pandemic, there was a need to step up and show the love of God. Since we started we have given a hand up to many of our families in VICKtory School as well as random acts of kindness being shown too many we have encountered. Based on the ministry of Christ who would meet a physical need to show and provide for the more important spiritual need.
The vision for C.A.R.E.:
C- Christian, the act of being Christ like in our everyday endeavors.
A - Action, taking on the responsibility of representing the love of Christ through random acts of kindness.
R - Refreshing, giving strength to those we help by not giving them a handout but rather a hand up, showing them that they can rise up and go beyond their current circumstances and that they have a God who loves them enough to send His messenger to love on them and refresh them to a relationship with him.
E - Everyone, not discriminating with our assistance, it is our goal to use this to reach those who do not think others care for them. We will use this to show Christ love to those of other religions and walks of life to rescue them from not only their physical bindings, but he spiritual ones as well.
