Thankful for Your Fellowship in the Gospel
"I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now." — Philippians 1:3-5
As I sat down to write this update, these verses from Philippians came to mind. When Paul wrote to the church at Philippi, he expressed gratitude for those who stood with him in the work of the Gospel. That is exactly how we feel about each of you. Your prayers, encouragement, and faithful support make it possible for us to continue serving in Botswana, Ethiopia, and wherever God opens doors for ministry.
We are excited to report that the churches in Botswana and Ethiopia continue to do well. We are receiving encouraging reports of spiritual growth, lives being changed, and people continuing to come to Christ. It is a blessing to see local leaders faithfully serving and sharing the Gospel in their communities. God is at work, and we are grateful to be part of what He is doing.
On the home front, our family recently celebrated a major milestone. Both Logan and Nikki graduated with honors this year. As parents, it is hard to put into words how proud we are of their accomplishments. Watching them reach this important stage of life has been both exciting and humbling, and we thank God for His faithfulness in their lives.
Over the past several months, I have spent much of my time traveling to meetings and working to schedule new opportunities to share the ministry. The transition to Reach Missions went remarkably well, and we are thankful that approximately 92% of our support successfully transitioned with us. That alone is a testimony to God's provision and to the faithfulness of those who partner with us.
At the same time, inflation and increasing ministry expenses continue to affect the work. Since 2024, we have effectively been operating at approximately 62% of our needed support level. While this presents challenges, it has also reminded us that God is our provider. We are actively seeking new ministry partners and trusting Him to supply every need as He has faithfully done throughout our years of ministry.
The Lord has also opened several promising new contacts, and we are praying that these relationships will lead to long-term partnerships in the Gospel. If you know a pastor, church, Sunday School class, small group, or individual who may be interested in hearing about JOY Missions, we would be grateful for an introduction. Many of our greatest ministry partnerships began because someone simply connected us with another believer who wanted to make a difference for Christ.
As always, thank you for standing with us. Every prayer prayed, every gift given, and every word of encouragement helps us continue the mission God has called us to. Together we are seeing lives transformed, churches strengthened, and the light of the Gospel shine in places where hope is desperately needed.
Please continue to pray for:
• The churches and leaders in Botswana and Ethiopia
• Continued spiritual growth and salvations
• Additional monthly support partners
• Open doors for new meetings and ministry opportunities
• Wisdom as we continue to expand the work of JOY Missions
Thank you for your fellowship in the Gospel.
